Last updated 22 October 2026
nedcoten.com is Ned Coten's personal website. Ned is responsible for the personal information collected through it. This page explains what is collected, why, and what you can do about it.
Ned's Network. When you join Ned's Network, the form asks for your first name, last name and email address.
Emails to Ned. If you email Ned, he receives your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Sierra, Ned's AI assistant. If you chat with Sierra, the questions you type are sent to the service that runs Sierra so it can answer them. Please don't share sensitive personal details in the chat.
Technical information. Like most websites, the web server and Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site, record basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. These are used only to keep the site secure and working.
This website doesn't use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and it doesn't take payments.
Ned uses your information only to send you Ned's Network emails if you've joined, to reply to messages you send, and to keep the website secure and running.
Ned doesn't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and doesn't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Ned's Network details are stored on this website, in Ned's Google account and in Mailchimp, which sends Ned's Network emails. Chats with Sierra are handled by Awesomate, the company that hosts this website.
Some of these services store information outside Australia, including in the United States. Ned uses well-known providers and gives them only what they need to do their job.
Every Ned's Network email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email Ned and ask to be removed.
You can ask Ned what information he holds about you, ask him to correct it, or ask him to delete it. Email [email protected] and he'll reply as quickly as possible.
If you have a question or concern about privacy, email Ned at [email protected] or write to Ned Coten, C/- 15 Carrington Drive, Albion VIC 3020.
If you're not satisfied with the reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
Send Ned a note. He reads his own email and replies as quickly as possible.
